§ 36-21. Review of application.

No action on any application for a pawnbroker's license shall be taken by the county board of commissioners until the sheriff or his designee has reviewed the application, conducted a criminal background check, and forwarded his recommendation thereon to the county clerk, in the manner specified in this article.
