§ 36-20. License required; fees.

Each pawnbroker doing business within the county shall be required to obtain a license from the county clerk in the manner specified in this article. Application for licensure shall be as provided in chapter 12. The application for licensure as a pawnbroker shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable investigative fee to defray in part the county's costs in conducting the investigation required herein, and an annual business license fee, both in amounts as provided in the county fee schedule. If the application for license is denied, the annual business license fee shall be refunded.
