§ 8-140. Disposition of animals impounded by the county for violations.

Any animal not redeemed within 72 hours after the owner is notified may be disposed of by euthanasia or adoption. All animals adopted must be neutered pursuant to the laws of the state. The owner of the hospital or shelter is made an agent of the county for this purpose, and his actions in this regard are declared to be for a governmental purpose.
