§ 8-70. Dog vaccination tag and identification tag required.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person who owns or controls any dog to allow such animal to run free or roam unrestricted by chain, leash or fence within the county unless such animal shall have and wear a collar or harness complete with current vaccination tag from a licensed veterinarian and an identification tag. The identification tag must contain at least the name, address, and telephone number of the dog's owner.

(b)

No owner or custodian of any dog in heat shall permit the dog to roam or run free beyond the limits of his or her property.
